The Stop Motion Animation Challenge was a full-day event where our Year 3 students learnt and applied stop motion animation techniques to create stories about recycling and sustainability.
The day includes an introduction to stop motion, a reading of "Michael Recycle" by Ellie Bethel to inspire ideas, and hands-on activities to plan, produce, and present animations. Students worked in teams, using iPads with the Stop Motion Studio app and various materials to bring their stories to life. The day culminated in a presentation of the animations to parents and judges, with awards given for outstanding creativity, technical skill, and effective communication of sustainability messages.
Our Year 3 students demonstrated exemplary behaviour and had lots of fun!
