Clean School - Everyone's Onboard

We all know that a clean space maximise learning for anyone and everyone. Our entrenched flock of birds both pigeons and crows are slowly reducing as we remove the rubbish to the bins. We have added a series of other measures to reduce the birds pressence at our school. The final step is to ensure that students are keeping their eating areas clean. Please remind students that rubbish goes in the bin and not on the ground. Keep giving this message at home as much as possible. Once our birds know and see that there is no rubbish, they will move on and in turn this will enhance the visual learning spaces of our school.

Understanding Students

In order to actualise our vision of "connecting futures" , we need to first know our learners and how they lean (AITSL).  Part of this is understanding the brain and how it operates especially for our young learners. There are lots of resources out there and part of our learning will be using the work of Dr Siegel. Here is a great video on the brain. Another great resource to understand our brains can be looking at a concept called the window of tolerance.

Once we have begun to deepen our understanding of our brains, we can then move to understanding the connection between our brains and behaviour.

What a great year 2025 will be!
