Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 attended the Spark It STEM Conference at Grace Lutheran College on Wednesday the 25th June. Students and staff attended the hands on expo and had the opportunity to engage in multiple STEM experiences. The first session of the day consisted of a variety of activities from building spinning tops, augmented reality, building cyber safety knowledge and 3D paper plane launchers. During the second session, students attended one of two workshops. Option 1 was Moving and Grooving with Granny where digital solutions were created to support the elderly to engage with exercise. Option 2 was a STEAM focused workshop hosted by Australian author Megan Forward where students created artworks of the Scribbly Gum tree using nature.
