Term 1 Newsletter Week 1

Our amazing P&C are exploring an OSHC! Wowee! This will be a game changer for families and provide a supportive tool to help everyone together.

It is great to see everyone back at school! We have had a few changes like the new crossing at the Beaufort end of our school heading down King street. Parents, please take the time to ensure children ride safe to and from school safely. Here is a link to the QPS website​ on road safety that might help. 

This year we will be introducing a road safe learning area for students to use bikes and scooters to learn road rules. This will be an exciting addition to our school in 2024.

In consuktation with parents and caregivers in 2024 we are trialling a parent/caregiver designed homework structure. There will be no homework provided by or marked by the class teachers. Families can engeage in learning exereinces at home and design their own time table based on their capacity and need. Please refer to our Homework page for more informaiton.​

Teachers communicate regularly with families regarding the social emotional, academic and behavioural needs of students. It is expected that twice yearly a "formal" meeting be offered to parents. These meetings will be offered by teachers throughout each semester and as such no setaside date and time will be setaside by the school as this process will be managed on a class be class bases.
