Tree Climbing!
We have been working with an organisation called The Playmakers examining our different play spaces and generating ideas to engage students in positive play experiences. Playmakers are strong advocates for the importance of play in our educational settings and use of natural spaces and resourcing.
This week we have opened activated our first nature play strategy, tree climbing! Students in Prep to Year 2 are able to climb the cotton tree when supervised and sit out on the long limb. Students can swing and jump off the branches onto the mulched soft fall.
It has been so exciting to see the students enjoying themselves in nature play.
Focus Page!
Teaching reading is fun and engaging. This weeks new website feature is our Learning@Home space. This page is linked to the Literacy Hub providing families mini videos on how they can support their child to read and develop the early literacy skills needed for success now and into the future. Enjoy learning how you can engage in reading with your child!
P&C Meetings!
We invite you to engage in our P&C meetings. Our next meeting is Tue the 14th of November from 2:00pm in the school library. The P&C is the heart of the community in the school and your voice and participation is needed! We look forward to seeing you all there.
